Eligibility: Candidates must have completed or be appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed or equivalent qualification as per NCTE norms.

Validity: CTET certificate is valid for lifetime (as per 2021 amendment). No re-validation required.

Qualifying Marks: General category must score 60% (90/150). SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates must score 55% (82/150).

No Negative Marking: There is no penalty for wrong answers. Every correct answer earns 1 mark.

Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates can appear any number of times.

Identity Proof: Candidates must carry a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence) to the exam centre. No ID = No entry.

Admit Card: Mandatory to carry a printed admit card. Digital/mobile admit cards are not accepted at the centre.

Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, earphones, electronic devices, bags, and written materials are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

Reporting Time: Candidates must report at least 60 minutes before the exam. Entry is closed 15 minutes before start.

OMR Sheet: Use only black or blue ballpoint pen to fill the OMR. Overwriting or correction with whitener leads to cancellation of that answer.

Malpractice: Any form of malpractice — copying, impersonation, using unfair means — will result in immediate disqualification and possible legal action.

Result & Certificate: Results are published on the official CTET website. Digital Mark Sheets and Certificates are issued via DigiLocker.

Eligibility: Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with minimum 50% marks (Gen). Age: 17–25 years (Gen), relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD.

Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answer. −1 for wrong answer. No marks for unattempted questions.

Qualifying Marks: General: 50th percentile. SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile. PwD: 45th percentile.

Attempts: No limit on attempts as per Supreme Court order. Candidates can appear until age limit.

Admit Card: Must carry printed admit card + valid photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID) to exam centre.

Dress Code: Light coloured clothes with half sleeves. No metal accessories, watches, or electronic devices allowed.

Reporting: Report at least 90 minutes before the exam. Entry closed 30 minutes before start.

OMR Sheet: Use only black ballpoint pen. Do not fold, tear, or use whitener on OMR. Take it seriously — no re-examination.

Malpractice: Any form of cheating leads to 3-year ban from NEET and possible legal action under NMC Act.
